أولمرت تسلم رسالة سرية من <حاكم دولة عربية معتدلة لا تقيم علاقات دبلوماسية مع إسرائيل> قال فيها <أؤيد عملياتكم في لبنان وشعرت بحاجة إلى تشجيعك في هذه اللحظة. أنتم ملزمون بالاستمرار حتى النهاية. جهات عديدة في العالم العربي تتمنى لكم النجاح>.
وقال وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي عمير بيرتس، من جهته، <هذه هي المرة الأولى التي تتمتع بها حملة عسكرية اسرائيلية بهذا التأييد، خاصة من الدول العربية التي أيدت الخطوات التي تقوم بها اسرائيل للدفاع عن نفسها. ونحن نريد أن نحافظ على هذا التأييد وإقناع الرأي الدولي بأن وجود حزب الله بهذه القوة سيمنع تنفيذ التفاهمات الدولية وقرارات الأمم المتحدة>.
وأوضحت <يديعوت> أن الرسالة، التي وصلت عبر قنوات دبلوماسية، لم تفاجئ
أحدا في القدس. ونقلت الصحيفة عن مصدر في وزارة الخارجية الإسرائيلية أنه
وصلت، في الأسبوع الأخير، رسائل في هذا السياق من الدوائر العربية إلى
القيادة السياسية.
وأضاف هذا المصدر، في إشارة إلى ما يسمعونه في محادثات مغلقة مع
دبلوماسيين ومع وزراء خارجية بل ومع قادة دول عربية، أن <ما نسمعه في الدول العربية ببساطة مذهل>. وأشار إلى أن الجمل تكرر نفسها <واصلوا هجماتكم العسكرية إلى أن تمحوا حزب الله>، <ستصنعون معروفا كبيرا للبنان ولكل المنطقة إذا قضيتم على نصر الله هذا>، <لا تتوقفوا حتى تقضوا عليهم>، <كل من يصف نفسه معتدلا يتمنى لكم النجاح> و<لإسرائيل وحدها الشجاعة للوقوف في وجه هذا الرجل>.
غير أن مصادر الخارجية الإسرائيلية ترى انه لا يتعين التحمس الزائد لهذه
الرسائل. <يقولون لنا في الواقع قوموا بعملنا جميعا، ولكنهم علنا لن يقولوا حتى ربع هذا الكلام>.

اتفاقية امنية مثيرة للجدل بين واشنطن والقاهرة

لقاهرة: قالت مصادر إعلامية ان القاهرة وواشنطن ابرمتا اتفاق تعاون ثنائي بينهما، يقضي بفرض رقابة أمنية أمريكية فوق أجزاء من السواحل والمرافئ والمياه الإقليمية المصرية، بزعم مكافحة تهريب مواد نووية أو مشعّة عن طريق البحر. ويأتي ذلك بموجب اتفاق إعلان مبادئ، وقّع عليه مسؤولون من دائرة الجمارك وحماية الحدود الأميركية، ومن إدارة الأمن النووي القومية المصرية، يوم الخميس الماضي ، وأعلن مسؤول أميركي بعد ذلك أنّ مصر ستنضمّ الى جهود دولية تستهدف منع تهريب مواد نووية وأخرى مشعّة عن طريق البحر. واضافت المصادر أن الاتفاق ينص على تنفيذ برنامجين أمنيين أميركيين في مصر، وهما برنامج "ميغا بورتس"، أو الموانئ الضخمة، التابع لإدارة الأمن النووي، و"مبادرة أمن الحاويات" الذي تنفذه دائرة الجمارك وحماية الحدود الأمريكية. ونقلت مصادر إعلامية عن مدير إدارة الأمن النووي الأمريكية لينتون بروكس قوله، إن برنامج "ميغابورتس" يُعتبر حاسماً للأمن الدولي وإشاعة الاستقرار في الاقتصاد العالمي، مضيفاً أنّ واشنطن في عملها مع القاهرة ستتمكن من اكتشاف وردع النقل البحري لمواد نووية ومشعّة محظورة. وبدوره؛ قال مفوض الجمارك وحراسة الحدود الأمريكي، إنّ الأولوية القصوى لهيئته هي منع تهريب تلك المواد، معتبراً أنّ برنامج أمن الحاويات يلبِّي الهدفين التوأمين للأمن وتيسير التجارة. ويخشى مراقبون في مصر من أن يتسبب هذان البرنامجان في تعزيز الحضور الأمني والاستخباري الأمريكي في بلادهم، وخاصة في المرافق الحساسة والحيوية كالمرافئ والسواحل والمضائق، وبخاصة قناة السويس، وهو ما ستكون له أبعاد استراتيجية مستقبلية يصعب تقديرها. وأواوضحت مصادر أنه حسب برنامج ميغابورتس؛ فسيقوم الجانب الأمريكي بتركيب معدّات كشف عن الإشعاع في المناطق السيادية المصرية، تتيح اكتشاف واعتراض سبيل شحنات من المواد النووية والمشعّة. وأما "مبادرة أمن الحاويات" فهي تتيح للجانب الأمريكي التدخل في جهود التعرّف على الحاويات المحملّة بشحنات مشتبهة او بالغة الخطر مما هو متّجه للولايات المتحدة. ومصر هي أول دولة بارزة يتم معها إبرام هذه الاتفاقات الأمنية المثيرة للجدل التي تعدّ تعزيزاً للنفوذ الأمني الأمريكي، وهي الاتفاقات التي سبق لواشنطن أن توصلت إليها مع كل من عُمان وهندوراس وجامايكا في عهد الرئيس الحالي جورج بوش. وتأتي هذه الاتفاقات مع مصر، بعد ضجة في الكونجرس الأمريكي بشأن إمكانية تمديد مساعدات "المعونة" المقررة للجانب المصري حيث جرى إقرارها بعد حالة من الجدل غير المسبوق

جهة أمنية وراء وقف العمل في جراج رمسيس

كشفت مصادر لـ »الوفد« اسباب تراجع الحكومة عن استكمال مبني جراج رمسيس واصدار فرمان بهدم جزء منه رغم التكلفة التي بلغت 32 مليون جنيه. تبين ان تقريرا من جهة امنية اكد خطورة المبني علي المواكب الرسمية خاصة انه يرتفع 5 امتار عن جسم كوبري اكتوبر. طلبت الجهة الامنية سد جميع المنافذ المطلة علي المرحلة الثانية من الكوبري لحين ازالة دورين من الجراج،
وحذرت من عدم امكانية السيطرة علي السيارات في الجراج بعد تشغيله، ففي حين يجري تأمين مبني هيئة البريد الملاصق للجراج بشكل صارم عن طريق تفريغه من الموظفين عند مرور المواكب الرسمية سيصبح من الصعب تفريغ الجراج من السيارات

Alaa Abd El-Fatah was arrested today together with around ten more activists during a peaceful demonstration in solidarity with sixty activists who were arrested over the past two weeks in a non-violent sit in as well who were held in custody for two weeks under investigation for "crimes" that if anything would raise only mockery including: humiliating the president, possession of "publishing equipment"(graffiti spray) and blocking traffic. The first group of activists arrested two weeks ago was supposed to have their cases reviewed by prosecution today, so as to release or renew holding them under investigation. In solidarity with them 200 lawyers approached as a defense council, a number of judges, and a number of activists among whom were Alaa and his colleagues gathered around the court house. Authorities denied the activists entry to the court house, in addition to attempting to present the "detainees" files only, and not the detainees themselves to prosecution. For hours, Alaa and his fellow activists shouted slogans against the government, sang and showed solidarity with their detained fellow activists. At the end of the demonstration police forces surrounding the group increased, refused to let them leave and started picking those to arrest, Alaa and ten others. They were taken to the nearby police station were they were denied lawyers, or any visitors. Lawyers are now standing outside the station just monitoring in case the arrested activists are taken somewhere else, which is exactly what happened. Three of them were taken blindfolded to another police station and were released later.

They go to prison and found the inmates selling drugs and that rich prisoners are granted better treatment while the poor prisoners are humiliated all the time. They immediately start protesting and asking for the reform of the prison. Amazing people! Just amazing! Read what they said:

3- وقف تعريض حياة "23" مختظفاً مننا للخطر بإستمرار إحتجازهم وسط السجناء الجنائيين، والتحقيق مع إداراة السجن في تجاهلها لبلاغنا الرسمي بتاريخ 4-5-2006 عن إنتشار تجارة المخدرات والأسلحة البيضاء في هذه الزنازين.

4- التحقيق مع ضباط أمن الدولة الذين إختطفوننا من شوراع وسط القاهرة، على رأسهم وليد الدسوقي، بتهمة سرقة المتعلقات الشخصية لنا، والتي تتمثل في كاميرات تصوير واجهزة محمول ومبالغ نقدية، والتحقيق في تجاهل إدارة السجن لبلاغتنا في هذا الشأن مما يكشف خضوعها التام لتعليمات امن الدولة بالمخالفة لقانون الطوارئ نفسه.. وللائحة مصلحة السجون.

5- التحقيق في تهديد مندوبي أمن الدولة لنا في السجن بالتعذيب الوحشي.. كما يفعلون مع الجماعات الإسلامية على حد تعبيرهم.

6- السماح لنا بأداء الصلاة في المسجد وإدخال الصحف والمجلات كما تنص لائحة السجون.

7- التحقيق مع إدارة السجن لتميزها للسجناء الأثرياء وأصحاب النفوذ، بفتح زنازينهم طوال النهار ومعظم الليل، وبدون رقابة، في حين يتعرض السجناء الفقراء للإذلال الدائم.

It is time to do something more effective.
We must sue mubarak for his crimes against humanity including torturing,imprisoning and kidnapping political opposition and activists and recently his role in the elections and shooting voters, last hate crimes against Egyptian Christians, and the crimes against protestors and judges. Any action of the police in this regard cannot be taken without his permission.
I suggest suing him and all his political aides and police chiefs in Europe for his crimes against humanity as many of these countries have laws that apply to crimes against humanity everywhere.
He is going to Germany in May. I suggest contacting some human rights organizations there and inquiring about the possibility of suing him there or otherwise in any EU country. This move will make him and his aides think twice before torturing and kidnapping activists.

I knew the minute I saw the headline where Mubarak said there is no new "slaughtry of judges" that something very bad will happen.

The Egyptian Police attacked late at night the citizens who were having a sit-down in solidarity with the Egyptian judges. When some of them fled to the Egyptian Judges professional society and an Egyptian Judge stoped the police, the police harshly beat and arrested him and his brother (a prosecutor) and the other protestors.

Mubarak lies as he breathes. Enough!

Egyptian Apology: It was an accident

To the Ladies and Gentlemen insulted by our overexcited old President, in particular, shiaas everywhere, and Darfur refugees and massacres victims that he has not heard of (some hearing problems!!!!) :

We did not choose him. It was an accident. Furthermore, he is too old to be taken seriously. I know he occupies the President’s chair, but believe me, not per our informed and voluntary decision.

To all Egyptians (and the President, if he can read):

He says he cannot find someone in Egypt who can shoulder the responsibility (out of the 70 millions no one except an ex-military pilot with a high school decree of 49%, and some military education). Here is an idea: why don’t we announce an international procurement to choose a President? We bring foreign coaches for national football teams and pay them a lot of our tax money, why don’t we have the same in the most important position in out country?

I know it is unpatriotic and most unconventional inviting foreigners to rule, but be assured that no one ( absolutely no one) can ever damage Egypt more than he has done and continues to do. The general public living standard is at its worst level. Welfare, human rights, employment, productivity, education, judiciary, tolerance, security and safety, to mention a few, are deteriorating and some have already disappeared (education and health care for e.g.).

No one should mention national sovereignty, as I don’t want to say a bad word, but everyone knows where the decisions come from. Mubarak is damaging Egypt “reputation” and interests internationally. An important example, in addition to what he has just said about shites and Darfur, is our relations with African countries especially where the Nile comes from cannot be worse.

SO Mr. President if you cannot find Egyptians who can take the responsibility, you may ask for some external help. But please not Gamal and all Dicks refrain.

Last word: “ there are words better unheard better unsaid” but what can I do? I am so ashamed.

Dogs Wedding ceremony

I thought to share this with you. You can use a smile in the weekend.
I had a friend whose mother says that she has 3 children, while she only has two. She adds her dog to them.
Awkward?
Not really compared to what I have seen in the Central Park in NY.
I was passing by when I saw what looked like a wedding with priests, flowers and some crowd around. It turned out to be a dogs wedding! The pride and the groom and their dog friends were there too. The food? There was a basket full of bones. YES that is true and if you don't believe me you can check my pics. I regret I did not take more pics and the quality of the camera was not that good.

After the Egyptian elections and all the scandals and shootings of voters were publicly broadcasted and published everywhere, she asked me -with sad and shocked face- why don't you just accept the status quo and live peacefully?

My answer was we were born humans and cannot live "peacefully" like animals in a farm. Even animals are not all tamed or amenable to be tamed. We were born free and cannot and should not live like slaves.

She got angry and thought I was pointing to her. She was Syrian and she likes her young President and thinks that we should follow suit!

I wonder how many Egyptians are thinking like her?

Who is right? Mercy or law? All or none or some?
